RECIPE: Mouthwatering Pasta and Fresh Sides
This week I found that it’s rather easy to put a whole lot of vegetables together and make it look pretty. To make cooking time faster, I rely on pre-cooked food that I buy from the supermarket or even tinned food.
This meal took me 20 minutes to prepare. This is how:
Cook some pasta, either use whole wheat pasta, gluten free or just any normal pasta. Chop in some fresh basil into your onion and tomato mix, add pepper, and its ready!
The vegetable plate is self explanatory, all you need is pre-cooked beetroot, some hummus, carrots and basically anything vegetables that you like, I dressed it with thyme that I grow on my windowsill.
And then my ultimate favourite. I steamed Brussel sprouts and added goats cheese. Its really delicious.
You can either steam them in your microwave or cook them in a flash!
Bring a pot of water to the boil, add the Brussel sprouts and not even 5 minutes later remove them. Add goats cheese and serve them in a pretty bowl. I dress most of my meals with pepper, and fresh herbs. Remember the prettier food looks the... better it tastes!
