What no one tells you about the first days after giving birth | Video
The baby guides might not tell you everything, but we found someone who does! We’ve brought back your favourite doula Nicolette Hadden from Birthroom Basics for a TELL ALL about what REALLY happens in those first 4 days after giving birth.
We’re not holding anything back – but you’re going to thank us.
Nicolette has supported nearly 500 births over the past 8 years across hospital and home settings.
She says, “I am daily in awe of my wonderful vocation – meeting two people and journeying with them as become three. My passion is to empower couples to make informed choices and to facilitate a beautiful birth experience regardless of the way the birth unfolds.”
Nicolette’s role as a doula within the hospital setting is to provide a continuous source of comfort, encouragement and support (both emotional and physical) during pregnancy labour. A doula is not an OB/GYN or midwife, rather, they are there to serve as a soothing voice of experience, help with relaxation techniques and breathing exercises, offer advice on labour positions and more.
Watch our no-holds-barred interview with Nicolette to emotionally and mentally prepare yourself for the birth process and find out what to expect from those first few minutes to those first few days.
Brought to you by Epimax Baby & Junior – our family, for your family. Also supported by Jacaranda 94.2.
