Fur Babies: Being Prepared for a New Pet

It's not always easy when choosing a new pet, but there are in fact many crucial considerations before you become the parent of a new fur baby!

In this week's episode, our expert Veterinarian, Dr Motheo Masiya, highlights some of these aspects - including health checks, vaccinations, and the size of the pet (especially when there are small children at home).

Dr Masiya, from Petstream Vet Clinic in Midrand, talks about the most common diseases of popular pets - kittens, puppies, birds, hamsters, and bunnies. As she points out, "Being prepared, is always advisable because you'll enjoy your pets so much more in the long run."
