A Special Surprise for Burn Care Trust

Last month, we learned about how to react to burn emergencies at home from Dr Nikki Allorto, general surgeon and founder of Burn Care Trust.

Dr Nikki Allorto is a general surgeon with a special interest in critical care and she operates a burn centre in KZN. She is involved in all facets of this field as the founder of Burn Care Trust – from research, education, and resource management to surgery, outreach, and telemedicine.

She taught us many things that every parent needs to know – such as the first step after identifying a severe burn injury on your child: Run the burn under cold water for approximately 20 min.

How Parent + Baby Brunch is helping 

This month, we have something special to give back to this invaluable KZN-based organisation for its role in South African healthcare.
